It has been a banner year for Â鶹ֱ²¥. (SCUSA) in 2013.<\/p>\n

That news included the launch of Chrysler Capital, a private-label agreement with Chrysler Group, new lines of business and announcement of a headquarters move to downtown Dallas in early 2014.<\/p>\n

\u201cÂ鶹ֱ²¥ Consumer USA accomplished a great deal as an organization this year,\u201d said Laurie Kight, spokeswoman for SCUSA. \u201cThese milestones set the stage for continued development and growth of the business through 2014 and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following are news reports of the SCUSA developments:<\/p>\n

  • – \u201cIn February, Â鶹ֱ²¥ Consumer USA inked a 10-year deal to become the preferred provider for Chrysler\u2019s retail and commercial financing,\u201d reported autofinancenews.net. \u201cIn May, SCUSA originated $900 million of Chrysler Capital retail installment contracts, $200 million of Chrysler Capital vehicle leases, and $9 million of Chrysler Capital dealer loans.”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    – \u201cÂ鶹ֱ²¥ Consumer, a subsidiary of the international financial giant Banco Â鶹ֱ²¥ SA, is negotiating to lease as much as 400,000 square feet of office space in Thanksgiving Tower on Elm Street,\u201d reported <\/span>The Dallas Morning News<\/i> in October. \u201cThe company would use the space to consolidate workers, some of whom are now located on Stemmons Freeway near Love Field.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

    – \u201cÂ鶹ֱ²¥ in March 2013 entered into and began purchasing receivables \u2018under certain agreements\u2019 with LendingClub, the peer-to-peer unsecured lending technology company,\u201d reported bankinnovation.net. \u201cThe agreements allow Â鶹ֱ²¥ to purchase up to 25% of LendingClub\u2019s total originations for a term of three years. \u2026 Additionally, the strategic relationship with LendingClub gives Â鶹ֱ²¥ \u2018the right to purchase nonprime loans.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

    – \u201c[Retailer] Bluestem Brands, Inc., announced that it has entered into a seven-year agreement with Â鶹ֱ²¥ Consumer USA (SCUSA) and WebBank on a private label credit program for its Fingerhut and Gettington.com brands,\u201d reported The Wall Street Journal<\/i>\u2019s Market Watch in September.\u00a0\u201cUnder the agreement, SCUSA will purchase new and existing revolving credit receivables from Bluestem Brands.\u201d<\/p>\n

    – \u201cÂ鶹ֱ²¥ Consumer USA topped the chart for loan application availability online, scoring nine of a possible 10 points. A mobile option and a couple of contact resources propelled it to the No. 1 spot,\u201d reported Auto Finance News<\/i> following a \u201cmystery shopping\u201d exercise. AFN<\/i> tracked responses from the nation\u2019s top 20 auto financiers as ranked by the 2013 Big Wheels Report and \u201cwere scored on speed, ease of use, security options and resources provided.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Â鶹ֱ²¥ Consumer USA currently has relationships with more than 14,000 automobile dealerships nationwide, 95 percent of which are franchised stores.
